Yesterday, I got my labs which show these: TSH 8.0, T4 9.5, T3 100, Should I worry?
Answer:
If we compared your results with the corresponding TSH normal reference range which is up to 6 uIU/mL, thus yours is ELEVATED.
Strangely, your results show elevated TSH which is medically called Hypothyroidism ( means low levels of thyroid hormones, the T3 and T4), but yours are of normal not decreased which is another medical condition called Subclinical-hypothyroidism.
Subclinical-hypothyroidism means your thyroid gland are on the way to develop a thyroid illness but not right now at the time of diagnosis. It’s a mild condition of thyroid low activity diseases.
What should you do?
1. Other tests like CBC, ESR, CRP, Urine may be needed to know which inflammation may caused this condition.
2.After testing, Consult your doc.
